Cape Vulture Conservancy/Lodge

The 1800ha Cape Vulture Conservancy is dedicated to having a positive impact on the local environment as well as on the local communities that are located on its periphery. Besides being home to Cape Vulture Lodge, the conservancy is home to a pioneering Education Centre, a resident anti-poaching unit tasked with protecting wild fauna and flora and a thriving permaculture garden that’s supplying both the lodge and local people with fresh produce. Add to this the ongoing conservation work being done to help protect and monitor our colony of 728 breeding pairs of endangered Cape vultures, and you begin to understand our ethos of making a difference to both people and planet. It’s this commitment that underpins everything we do.
